Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe Railway, Yuxinou Railway for short, has created a new way of opening-up in both directions and rewrote China’s opening to the outside world,” said Qi Dan, General Manager of Yuxinou (Chongqing) Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.
With the regular operation of the China Railway Express to Europe from Chongqing, the municipality in Southwest China has won the approvals as a national first-class port and vehicle import port. It helps Chongqing to transform from an upstream shipping center of the Yangtze River to China’s inland international logistics hub. Generally speaking, Chongqing serves as a three-in-one open platform in three aspects. To be specific, it serves as the transportation hubs for aviation, railway and inland river ports, 3 national class-one open ports, and as 3 bonded supervision areas.

It’s a driver-relay from Chongqing to Duisburg

From Chongqing in China to Duisburg in Germany, the international railway transport channel runs a total length of 11,179 kilometers via Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Poland.
“Many people think that I will drive all the way to Germany, but I can’t do it,” said a driver response for Chongqing section. In fact, the China Railway Express to Europe from Chongqing represent dozens of drivers’ relay.

Through the Duisburg, freight can reach more than 30 countries in Europe, such as the Netherlands and Belgium. Through Chongqing, goods can be transported to the rest of China and Southeast Asian countries.

Goods covering multiple industries with higher added value

“Last year, the number of return trains from Germany exceeded that of departure trains from Chongqing for the first time. It realizes the good interaction between the two sides.” Qi Dan introduced.
In addition,  most of the goods transported by the trains were electronic intelligent terminal products that mainly served the Chongqing IT base. And now, it involves more extensive production and trading enterprises.
Dozens of brand companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Acer, Asus, Changan Ford, Huawei, ZTE, Lifan and Hougu, as well as more than 20 international logistics companies such as global logistics and Danmark, are regular clients.
Meanwhile, international parcel transportation has operated on a regular basis. Chongqing has become the only distribution center for railway international postal parcels in the country. This also symbolizes that the rule prohibiting postal transport of railways has been officially rewritten.

Actual load rate for 2019 aims to be 100%
