At 10:25 on December 28, the train, loaded with hardware mechanical and electrical products produced left Jiangjin for ASEAN countries via Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It will soon enter the markets of ASEAN countries and be distributed to the rest of the world. The shipment remarked the official launch of ILSTC Jiangjin Regular Train.

After the launch of Jiangjin Regular Train, Jiangjin District also witnessed the opening ceremony of the commodity and agricultural products distribution centers.
The former center covers an area of about 3,000 square meters. The exhibits include about 410 kinds of commodities in the fields such as food, cosmetics, personal care and household items from the 10 ASEAN members. There are about 170 kinds of commodities in the boutique pavilion, including cosmetics and personal care, household items, dietary supplements, and maternal and child products.
The latter one will be located in Chongqing Shuangfu International Agricultural Product Trade City. With a planned area of about 3,333,333 square meters, the Trade City is positioned as the largest comprehensive agricultural product wholesale market in West China. It is the leading market in Chongqing’s three-tier agricultural products distribution system. The Ministry of Agriculture regards it as the designated supporting market. Furthermore, the Ministry of Commerce designates it as the backbone market for the wholesale of agricultural products nationwide.
Jiangjin District will become an important logistics hub for commodities and agricultural products from the 10 ASEAN members. The future will see the continuous supply of ASEAN goods to Chongqing and even the whole country via the train.
To expand sources of goods, Jiangjin District is actively applying for lowering the freight rate for general cargo. According to relevant parties in Jiangjin District and Guangxi, the goods transported via the train will enjoy a 30% discount on the general freight rate.
