According to CQCB, 3 top robotic industry players – KUKA AG from Germany, ABB Group from Switzerland, FANUC Corporation from Japan –have set their branches in Chongqing. Meanwhile, domestic well-known companies including GSK CNC Equipment Co. Ltd., Wuhan Huazhong Numerical Control Co., Ltd (HNC), Googol Technology (HK) Ltd. have also settled here.
Chongqing is the important industrial base in China with output of car, motorcycle and laptop all in the front rank, which makes Chongqing in great need of industrial robot. Besides, there are also increasing demand of industrial robot in chemistry, food, shipping, rail transit, etc. Based on this, robotics industry has become one of the top ten strategic emerging industries in Chongqing with a complete robotic industry chain of assembly, parts production, software development, and follow-up services.
