At the promotion symposium, Chongqing promoted its cultural and tourism equipment manufacturing industrial park, the first of its kind in China, said Mr. Zhu Mao, Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development.
The industrial park is located in Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Area in Chongqing. It covers an area of 5 km2 with an investment volume of RMB 5 billion. It aims to build into a modern cultural and tourism park, which combines culture and tourism planning, VR experience and cultural creativity. The cultural and tourism manufacturing industrial park has huge market potential.

Chongqing Cultural Industry

Chongqing will explore cultural tenets of the city and develop valuable local cultural industry, an official at Chongqing cultural and tourism authority introduced in this August at a promotion symposium on the coordinated development of cultural development.
As of 2020, Chongqing will have built 40 characteristic towns, ten in 2018. These cultural towns are supposed to integrate with local intangible and natural resources. Moreover, cultural complexes to be established combine history and modernity.
Statistics show that, as of the end of 2017, Chongqing cultural industry had realized an added value of RMB 66.29 billion, with an increase of 11.86% year on year.
