Chongqing Releasing 3-Year Plan for Xiantao International Big Data Valley

XTB Valley released a 3-Year Action Plan at the press conference

On August 22, the day before the opening ceremony of Smart China Expo, 45 projects were signed in Xiantao International Big Data Valley (XTB Valley) with a planned investment of RMB 25.6 billion and an estimated annual output of over RMB 28 billion, said Tang Mi, deputy governor of Yubei District of Chongqing, when announcing the Three-Year Action Plan of XTB Valley at the press conference of Smart China Expo on August 25.

Situated in Yubei District, which is in the north part of Chongqing urban area and is prosperous in economic development, XTB Valley owns a perfect location advantage. It is only 1.5 km away from the Yuelai International Convention Center and next to the Central Park of Chongqing, and it has Jiangbei International Airport and Chongqing Liangjiang International Business Center within reach.

Taking advantage of the Smart China Expo, a total number of 24 enterprises from XTB Valley with 48 products exhibited at this grand event, showing strong and potential trends in the development of Big Data Intelligence.

According to Tang, XTB Valley, taking the “data” as the basis, has deployed an industrial innovation ecosystem for big data.

As so far, three big data centers have been jointly constructed with the State Information Center of China in XTB Valley, which includes the Chongqing Branch of National Big Data Center of China.

For XTB Valley, the key technology industries are Internet of Things (IoT), integrated circuit design, and Artificial Intelligence.

Also, five sectors have been chosen as the core industries here, namely intelligent vehicle, intelligent terminal, life health, aviation, and digital life. Up to now, 93 tech companies have settled in XTB Valley, including big ones such as ARM, Huawei and Thundersoft, with about 2500 employees and an output value of about RMB 9 billion.

The Three-Year Action Plan unveils the ambitious vision of XTB Valley. It is expected that by 2020, this land will possess 200 core patent technologies in the field of big data, one national level and 20 municipal level research and development centers, 200 high-level talents, and the output value will reach RMB 20 billion.
